GRANOLA  (SOFT)                         Margaret  Hein                      

6 cups rolled oats                                1 cup oil

1 cup nuts                                            1 cup honey

1 cup soy flour                                    1 cup water + 2 tablespoons

1 cup powdered milk  

1 cup sesame seeds  

1 cup sunflower meats 

1 cup wheat germ    (raw) 

Mix all dry ingredients together.  Then add oil, honey, and water.  Stir together well.  Spread on cookie sheet with sides and bake at 300 degrees for 45 to 60 minutes, until cooked through, but not crunchy.  Remove from cookie sheet immediately and place in bowl to cool, using the spatula to break it up so it looks like cookie crumbs.  Let it cool thoroughly, stirring from time to time.  Store in container.  (Sometimes it might be kept in the refrigerator.)   

To serve, place in bowl with milk.  May add raisins, dates, bananas when eaten. 

(This breakfast cereal keeps me from getting hungry longer than anything else!)
