Homemade Oreo Cookies Margaret Reid

1 pkg. Devil’s Food Cake Mix

2 eggs

2/3 cup shortening

1 can cream cheese frosting (or make your own)

Mix all together. It will be a stiff mixture. Roll into 1-inch balls. Place on lightly greased cookie sheet about 2 inches apart. Bake at 375 degrees for about 10 minutes. Cool on rack. When cool, frost one cookie with about 1 teaspoon of frosting. Place another cookie on top. Makes about 4 dozen.
