Ginger Snaps            Carol Orr

 

2 cups white sugar

1 cup butter

2 eggs

7/8 cup molasses

1 Tbsp ginger

1 Tbsp Cinnamon

2 tsp baking soda

2 Tbsp hot water

3 1/4 cups flour

 

Cream sugar and butter.  Add eggs, molasses, spices and the soda  dissolved in the hot water.  Add  flour  to form a soft slightly sticky dough.  Roll into ping pong sized balls.  If desired roll in sugar.  Place a greased cookie sheet. Do not flatten. and bake for 15 minutes at 350 degrees

Adjust time to how chewy or crisp you like them.
