Chocolate Chip Cookies
Jo Ann Harston
1 lb. Butter 1 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups brown sugar ½ teaspoon salt
1 ½ cups
white sugar 5 cups flour
4 large eggs 4 cups Chocolate
chips
4 Tablespoons milk 2 cups chopped nuts
2 Tablespoons vanilla
Cream together well butter,
brown sugar and sugar.
Add and beat eggs, milk
and vanilla.
Add and mix well baking
soda, salt and flour.
Stir in Chocolate
chips and nuts.
Dough will be firm. Make cookie into “sorta”
balls the
size you want -- dip top in sugar and place sugar side up
on baking sheet.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and bake,
until barely brown, do not over bake.
Note: Because cookies are made with butter they do
not keep
well, unless you freeze them and take them out as needed,
or eat them all up.
Cookies are rich but yummy.
You can easily half the recipe.
