Carol's Cream Pies Carol

Two large pies
1 cup flour
2 cups sugar
1/8 tsp salt
6 cups milk, scalded
9 egg yolks beaten
6 Tbsp butter
1 ½ tsp vanilla
2 baked pie crusts
Mix the flour, sugar and
salt. Mix into the scalded milk and
bring to a boil on a medium heat. Stir
some of the hot custard
into the beaten egg yolks, then add back to the custard. Then add butter and vanilla. Pour into pie crusts and cool.
