CARMEL CHEX MIX                 Kay Call

                       

1 cup butter    

2 cups brown sugar                 .

pinch of salt                                        

½ cup corn syrup

1 tsp soda                  

1 17 0z box of Corn Chex

 

Combine butter, brown sugar, salt and corn syrup.  Bring to boil.  Boil 1 ½  minutes Remove from heat and add soda.

Place the cereal in a large bowl and pour Carmel over the cereal and stir to coat.  Microwave on high for 1 ½ minutes three times.  Stir well after each time.  Spread on wax paper or a pan to cool.  Add M&M's, &  peanuts if you desire.  Separate if they are stuck together.
