Apple Pie Carol Orr
6 cups peeled and sliced apples
Double layer unbaked pie shell
3/4 cup sugar
2 tbsp. all purpose flour
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp salt
1/3 cup whipping cream
Place apple slices in pie shell. Mix the dry ingredients and sprinkle over the apples. Pour the cream over pie filling. Top with crust and bake at 425 for 15 minutes then turn down to 350 until apples are bubbly and tender.
Note: You can heat the apple in a saucepan before putting in the shell. This will shorten the cooking time.
