A Gift of Family History Binder

Now that the research is done, you need to assemble the book. Contact your ward Family History Coordinator for a binder.

1-Write a letter and place it in the front pocket. A sample letter is available (please read it and personalize it for your book).

2-Place the pedigree and family group sheets behind the tab, Our Family History. Also include other research you found for this family, census records, death records, etc. (For non-LDS, remember to print without LDS data. Turn off at Print Reports - Preferences.)

3-Be sure to include one or two items of interest such as a surname distribution and a time capsule behind the tab, Connecting with Your Heritage.

4-Type up your findings on the Findings and Recommendations form. Include that along with any records you found that may contain clues to this family but need further research behind the tab, Continuing Your Research. Also, print a blank family group sheet to place in this section.

3-Does the binder look complete? Will it make a nice presentation for the family? Call your ward Family History Consultant Coordinator for the next step to presenting the binder.

Remember, you can always email or call me for help, Cheri Haggard, 949-215-4678.
